Still the most real sounding results seem to come from MD. Gets pretty bad if you want to alter a project like that. MD can also be used for timing and transients quantization on any type of instrument. Personally, though, I've worked with a producer who insists we always bounce our MD-altered track(s) into a non_MD one (the finished/tuned track) before mixdown to save both CPU/RAM demands, but also preserve the project for the long-term, should something go wrong with Melodyne or it's plist files, etc. Having said that, one's project could have 4 to 10 BGV tracks and that gets messy/tedious. Check out our lil peep clothing selection for the very best in unique or. This now "virgin" (un-MD plugin) track can be manipulated (cut/spliced, etc). Pro Vocal Chain Templates for Pro Tools & Logic Pro X Get your vocals sounding. However, if needed, you can bounce in place or record the MD changed file to another track. You alter/tune that recording, not the regions from whence it came. ![]() ![]() That's because it makes it's own "recording" of the track regions you feed into it. Yes, Melodyne is not good for moving things when doing track rearrangements, etc. Antares Auto-Tune is great for both detailed transparent tuning and creating that extreme autotune effect using a MIDI keyboard.
